Sustainability

Short version: we're trying not to make more junk than we have to. We will not dress that up as carbon-neutral, ocean-bound, or certified-saviour. Climbers already have enough marketing on the holds.

The brush (not for sale yet)

The climbing brush we're building is designed around reuse. Exchangeable heads, so the handle doesn't go in the bin when the bristles die. Heads from 100% recycled and repurposed materials, working to GRS 4.0. That's the design intent. The brush is still a prototype. Read the story.

Apparel

Most shirts, hoodies, beanies, hats, and totes are made to order. We don't hold a warehouse of every size in every colour. They're printed when you order, so they take longer — and unsold product isn't sitting in a box. Less waste, less over-ordering. Thanks for waiting on it.

Some pieces use organic cotton — it's on the product page when they do (organic ribbed beanies, organic cotton Zodiac tees, organic totes, the crag hat). The GRIPT cotton tees we pack in Queensland are AS Colour combed cotton, not organic. We won't call the whole shop organic.

Chalk and the rest

Gript chalk comes in a recyclable bag. Chalk balls, stickers, and those GRIPT tees ship from Bahrs Scrub, Queensland, instead of crossing the Pacific twice.
